Louisiana Hot Sauce
As one can tell from the name, Louisiana hot sauce originates
from Louisiana and is deeply influenced by its roots to Cajun-style
cooking. Not too hot or mild, this sauce relies mainly on a blend of
cayenne peppers native to the region and is used daily on any number
of American-style foods such as burgers, fries, or scrambled eggs.
Like most gourmet and specialty foods, Louisiana hot sauce is usually
available in various flavors including Chipolte, Garlic, Habanera, Jalapeño,
Roasted Pepper and Red Chili. However, all specialty flavors will still
have the Louisiana style blend of cayenne pepper that allows this sauce
to be used daily to add any amount of kick to one’s meal.
Cayenne pepper, like all chili peppers, is known to help with health
problems such as headaches, arthritis and congestion. This is due to
the main component capsaicin, which is present in all chili peppers.
Taken regularly cayenne pepper, which is the largest ingredient in Louisiana
hot sauce, can stimulate circulatory systems and lower cholesterol.
